CSA Pickup Thursday 28 Cdale and Friday 29 Marion

Posted 12/28/2017 9:44am by Jill Rendleman.

Brrrrr. is all we know!  Wood stove is going day and night and bitter cold freezing up the spring plots we were trying to get ready.  So we are using the time to finalize seed orders, straighten up barns, bring warm water to chickens, and fix what the cold breaks!

Co-op Pickup will be inside near cash registers.  Thank you co op!!!

Look for romaine lettuce, turnips, dill, and potatoes for this weeks share.  If you have been freezing a bit of any overage of veggies each week, this would be a good time to make a winter "everything" soup.  We boil up some chicken broth and then start adding whatever is hanging out in the freezer - we don't use anything over 6 months old as it seems to loose its flavor.

Next Week WED  JAN 3.....we will deliver Cdale and Marion BOTH on WEDNESDAY Jan 3rd.  Thanks for your flexibility.     your cold farmer, Jill
