CSA TODAY and FRIDAY. ...same times and pickups

Posted 1/3/2019 9:34am by Jill Rendleman.

Pac choi, new winter greens, potatoes and carrots are in your share this week.  Greens can be used as a salad or are also great braised in a little olive oil salt and garlic.  Its the time of year our systems want something nutritious and green.....while the potatoes can soften and fill the comfort needs of a cold day.

It was nice having a week off last week with all the family and other events, it really helped to be able to enjoy without worrying about picking and deliveries.  Thanks to members for the ok!  The winter soltice was a full moon and also my birthday.....this won't happen again for 79 years.   It was a beautiful evening watching the full moon rise in a clear winter sky over the Shawnee.   about the birthday.....I dont think thats going to happen again in 79 years!  Enjoy winters bounty this week.  take care, your farmer, Jill
